Ex-NFL RB Armond Smith charged with stealing leaf blower
Former NFL running back Armond Smith was arrested last week for allegedly stealing a leaf blower out of a truck, reports the Rockdale Citizen.
Smith was charged with theft by taking for stealing the Stihl leaf blower, valued at $500.
According to the report, Smith stole the leaf blower out of the back of a landscape truck parked at the Rockdale County Courthouse in Georgia. Smith then put the leaf blower in back of his Dodge Ram truck.

Soon, the owner of the landscape truck returned from the Tax Assessor’s Office nearby, and the witness told him what happened. They then contacted police and described the male as being a young black male with an athletic build and having a cast on his hand. Investigators located Smith on Friday. When they arrested him, they found a Carolina Panthers football helmet in his car.
Smith signed with Cleveland Browns as an undrafted free agent in 2011 and played with the Carolina Panthers in 2012 and 2013.
