MMQB: Are Vikings holding Peterson to different standards?

Peterson was indicted Friday on a felony charge of child injury for disciplining his son with a tree branch. The Vikings deactivated him for last Sunday's game against the Patriots, then reinstated the running back on Monday. Later that day, another child abuse allegation against Peterson surfaced.

Rice was cut by the Ravens and suspended indefinitely by the NFL on Monday following the release of a video showing him punching his then-fiancée, now-wife Janay Palmer in a casino elevator. Rice will reportedly appeal his NFL suspension.
