Jamaal Charles returns to practice for Chiefs following ankle injury
Kansas City Chiefs running back Jamaal Charles returned to practice on Thursday following an ankle injury, Herbie Teope of the Associated Press reports.
Charles left Sunday's Week 2 loss to the Broncos with a high ankle sprain. He had just two carries for 12 yards before leaving the game during the first quarter.

In 15 games last season, Charles had 1,287 rushing yards and a league-leading 12 touchdowns for the Chiefs.
With Charles out of the lineup, Knile Davis had 22 carries for 79 yards against the Broncos.
The Chiefs are 0-2 and have lost nine of their past 11 games after a 9-0 start last season. They will play the Dolphins in Miami on Sunday.
