Seattle Seahawks cornerback Richard Sherman laughed at the notion that he is not a shutdown corner and was exposed after San Diego Chargers receiver Keenan Allen caught several balls against him in San Diego's 30-21 win on Sunday.

Sherman also said he wasn’t avoiding the media after the game.

"I thought that was pretty hilarious," Sherman said, according to the Associated Press. "You know when a guy wants to get his name in the paper, he has to say something crazy. I didn't stick around a long time waiting for everyone.”

Sherman wasn’t done assessing his own performance, even though Chargers quarterback Philip Rives threw for 284 yards and three touchdowns against his team.

"I played pretty well," Sherman said. "But it's really funny that two little Chargers say I was exposed. One had 50 yards [Allen had five receptions for 55 yards], and one had 60 [Eddie Royal had seven catches for 69 yards]. It makes you laugh."
