Roger Goodell meets with Texas' Charlie Strong to discuss 'core values'

Commissioner Roger Goodell and league Executive Vice President of Football Operations Troy Vincent met with Texas head coach Charlie Strong on Sunday to discuss the NCAA's relationship with the NFL, core values and more.
Vincent tweeted that "standards are key" and applauded the Longhorns coach for prioritizing with "character and respect over talent [in] molding the next generation of football talent."

Strong's five "core values," according to Vincent, are: "honesty; treat women with respect; and no drugs; stealing or guns."
The meeting comes at a challenging time for the NFL as it looks to repair its image in the wake of a host of off-the-field player controversies and subsequent questions about how the league handles those issues.
Commissioner and I are focused on strengthening relationships with colleges. Thank you for your time today @Strong_TexasFB
