The NFL fined Denver Broncos linebacker Lamin Barrow $8,268 for throwing a punch during the team’s 31-17 victory over the New York Jets on Sunday.

Near the end of the third quarter, Barrow was blocking on kickoff return. After the play ended, players from both teams got involved in tussle. Barrow threw a punch after becoming entangled with a Jets player. Barrow was penalized for unsportsmanlike conduct, and was ejected from the game.

"I can't take any more of those," Barrow said to The Denver Post. "He got under my helmet. And I reacted."

Barrow was a fifth-round pick by Denver in the 2014 NFL Draft out of LSU. He is making $420,000 in base salary this season.

Barrow has four combined tackles in five games this season and is generally used on special teams, although he has played 19 snaps on defense, according to The Denver Post.
