The Seattle Seahawkshosted the Marysville-Pilchuck High School football team Tuesday, four days after a shooting at the school left three people dead.

The Marysville-Pilchuck team, which is preparing for a Wesco 3A playoff game Friday, practiced and met with Seahawks coach Pete Carroll and players at the team’s facility.

Last week, a freshman at Marysville-Pilchuck opened fire, killing two students and wounding three others before turning the gun on himself.

After the tragedy, Carroll invited the football team to practice at their facility.

“We all feel it in the state and I'm sure that everyone feels it around the country... so our hearts just opened immediately to try and help in any way that we can," Carroll said

Carroll also extended the invitation to Oak Harbor High School, who forfeited the division championship game to Marysville-Pilchuck. Both teams will compete in the WesCo playoffs.
