Active

Tony Romo, QB, Cowboys (back): From 6-1 to a season seemingly on the brink, the Cowboys should be thrilled to see Romo again Sunday -- he sat out last week's loss to Arizona. How will his ailing back hold up against the Jaguars (and after a flight to London)?

Week 10 NFL picks: Volatility at QB means plenty of midseason intrigue

Sammy Watkins, WR, Bills (groin): The Bills' star rookie missed practice on Thursday and Friday after tweaking what he called a "nagging" groin injury. A positive performance in pregame warm-ups Sunday kept Watkins active, but we'll have to wait and see how effective he can be.

Fred Jackson, RB, Bills (groin): More or less the same story on Jackson as on Watkins -- he will play, though at less than full strength. Buffalo held Jackson's workload down during the week, hoping to have him ready for Sunday.

Calvin Johnson, WR, Lions (ankle): Megatron made all of one catch in October, spending several weeks on the sideline to rest his injured ankle. He said this week that he's close to 100 percent; he will be back in the lineup as Detroit hosts Miami on Sunday. The Lions did manage to post a 3-0 record without Johnson. They also have running back Reggie Bush and tight end Brandon Pettigrew returning this week.

Lamar Miller, RB, Dolphins (shoulder): Miller left Miami's Week 9 game early, then was listed as questionable for Week 10. The team's leading rusher will play, though the Miami Herald's Adam Beasley reported that Miller "will likely be limited".

Inactive

Troy Polamalu, S, Steelers (knee): The injuries keep piling up for the Steelers' defense, even as the offense keeps lighting up the scoreboard. Polamalu and rookie linebacker Ryan Shazier will join linebacker Jarvis Jones and cornerback Ike Taylor out on Sunday.

The can't-miss games of the 2014 NFL season's second half

Doug Martin, RB, Buccaneers (ankle): All signs -- not to mention all updates to the Bucs' injury report -- pointed toward Martin sitting Sunday. Bobby Rainey will start at running back. Keep an eye on rookie Charles Sims, too, since he figures to see some of the work otherwise reserved for Martin.

Pierre Thomas, RB, Saints (shoulder/ribs): The Saints said on Friday that both Thomas and fellow running back Khiry Robinson (forearm) would be unavailable this weekend. Mark Ingram will see plenty of action in their absence.

Patrick Willis, LB, 49ers (toe): An already banged-up 49ers linebacking corps will be short another key piece in Week 10. Willis did not practice at all this week because of his sprained toe, so it's no surprise that he will sit Sunday.
