The calls for New York Jets general manager John Idzik’s job have been seen on planes flying above the Jets' practice facility with the banner “Fire John Idzik,” a fan-created website called FireJohnIdzik.com and now on New Jersey roadways, where billboards are advocating for the Jets to get rid of their embattled GM.

Those driving down New Jersey Route 3 west of MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford early Monday morning saw two rotating “Fire John Idzik” digital billboards flashing above the highway.

Fans coughed up more than $10,000 to put the billboards on local roadways. According to the New York Post, another billboard is coming to Interstate 80 in the Garden State soon.

Last week, Jets coach Rex Ryan said that the talk of firing Idzik was not fair and that the team’s struggles should not be blamed on one person.

Jets fans got one day of relief after their 20-13 victory over the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday. The victory broke an eight-game losing streak by New York.

Oakland (0 wins), Tampa Bay and Jacksonville (1 win) are the only NFL teams who have fewer wins than New York. Tennessee also has two victories this season after its third straight defeat, a 21-7 loss to the Baltimore Ravens on Sunday.

The Jets (2-8) play the Buffalo Bills (5-4) on the road on Sunday.
