SANTA CLARA, Calif. (AP) Tight ends Garrett Celek and Asante Cleveland were added to San Francisco's active roster before the 49ers' game Thursday night against the Seattle Seahawks.

Celek was activated from the physically unable to perform list and Cleveland was promoted from the practice squad. San Francisco right tackle Anthony Davis missed his second straight game with a concussion, while Jonathan Martin again started in his place.

For Seattle, which like San Francisco is 7-4, cornerback Jeremy Lane is inactive after being listed on the injury report as questionable with a glute injury. Marcus Burley will start at the nickel spot.

To make room on the roster for Celek, the 49ers placed tight end Derek Carrier on season-ending injured reserve and waived linebacker Chase Thomas.

Celek has appeared in 25 games over the past two seasons, with six catches for 89 yards. Cleveland played in the 49ers 23-14 loss at Arizona before being waived and resigned to the practice squad.
