ST. LOUIS (AP) St. Louis Rams guard Rodger Saffold went to the locker room with a left shoulder injury during the third quarter of Sunday's game against the Oakland Raiders.

Saffold, who signed a contract with the Raiders in the offseason before having it voided due to concerns about his shoulder, came off holding his left arm early in the third quarter. His return was questionable. Mike Person replaced him with the Rams leading 38-0.

Saffold had started every game this season.

Oakland lost offensive tackle Menelik Watson to a left ankle injury in the second quarter and tight end Brian Leonhardt was evaluated for a possible concussion after being hurt during a kickoff return in the first quarter.
