Report: Two Bears fans stabbed in fight after game against Cowboys

Friday December 5th, 2014

A fight in a parking lot following Thursday night's game between the Bears and Cowboys at Soldier Field involved two Bears fans getting stabbed, according to a report from the Chicago Tribune.

The fight broke out at approximately 10:45 p.m. after four men began screaming that the "Bears suck"; in response, other men yelled "Cowboys suck," the report says.

Police said that the men in question "appeared to have been drinking," according to the report.

From the report:

“The victims yelled back 'Cowboys suck,' " and someone from the group of Cowboys fans threw beer into the eyes of one of the Bears fans, the report said. The Cowboys fans then jumped on the Bears fans and cut them, the report said.

A 22-year-old man was stabbed in the back nine times with an unknown object and the other Bears fan, 21, suffered a puncture wound near his upper right shoulder, police said.

Police said that the assailants left the scene in a car and no one had been taken into custody, the report says.

Police also said that the two men were transported to a local hospital and that one man's condition was stabilized while the other's was "fair," according to the report.
