A fight broke out between Washington Redskins wide receiver Andre Roberts and cornerback Bashaud Breeland during Wednesday's practice, according to CSN Washington

Breeland was defending Roberts when quarterback Colt McCoy threw a deep pass, which Roberts was not able to catch. Both players tumbled to the ground, and CSN Washington reports Breeland was briefly holding his groin and could possibly have been injured.

When Roberts and Breeland returned to the sideline, Roberts removed his helmet and confronted Breeland. The players squared up and then exchanged a few punches before teammates Ryan Clark, E.J. Biggers and Ryan Grant, among others, separated them.

Roberts also shoved Clark as Clark attempted to diffuse the situation.

After the fight ended, the team told the media to leave.

Roberts later addressed the incident on Twitter:

Washington is 3-10 on the season and plays the New York Giants (4-9) on Sunday.
