The Atlanta Falcons are seeking $45,000 in personal seat licenses for the best seats in their new stadium, which is currently under construction downtown and will open in 2017, The Atlanta Journal-Constitutionreported Wednesday.

The Falcons will present their first PSL plan to the Georgia World Congress Center Authority on Thursday. The board must approve the plan before sales can begin.

The $45,000 PSL would apply to 1,200 lower-bowl seats near midfield. Another 6,500 seats will hold PSLs between $10,000 and $20,000.

According to the Journal-Constitution, this first plan will cover approximately 11 percent of the 71,00 seats in the new stadium. PSLs will be required for all other season tickets and will be priced at various points below $10,000, though the remaining plans won't be set until later this year.

The Falcons finished 6-10 this season, electing to fire head coach Mike Smith last month. The search for his replacement is ongoing.
