New England Patriots defensive tackle Vince Wilfork said that Marshawn Lynch of the Seattle Seahawks is the NFL’s best running back.

The Patriots and Seahawks face each other in Super Bowl XLIX on Feb. 1.

"It seems like he's been getting better and better," Wilfork said, according to NFL.com. "The more and more he plays the game, it seems like he kicks it to another gear. And that's the sign of a great football player. He's hands down the best back in the game because he can hurt you anytime he has the ball in his hands."

This season Lynch ranked fourth in the league with 1,306 yards and tied for first with 13 rushing touchdowns. He has recorded 216 yards and a touchdown over the Seahawks' two playoff games.
