Martellus Bennett: Bears should focus on rebuilding for next year
Chicago Bears tight end Martellus Bennett joined SI Now on Friday to discuss how the Bears should prepare for next season.
Chicago struggled throughout the 2014 season, losing its last five games, and the year ended with the firing of head coach Marc Trestman and general manager Phil Emery.
Bennett stressed that the team needed to look ahead, saying that the Bears, and quarterback Jay Cutler, who was questionable throughout the year, needed to come back next season without the baggage of the last year.

"I just want to see Jay to come back with a positive attitude and new outlook and fresh start for everybody. There's no reason for anybody to dwell on last season, it's a time to build and create something new.
"So for me I think Jay, and everybody else on our team, this offseason, use that time to become better as an individual."
Bennett recorded 90 receptions for 916 yards and six touchdowns in 16 games this year. In seven years in the league, the 27-year-old tight end has tallied 295 catches for 3,147 yards and 20 touchdowns.
