Monday February 9th, 2015

The Seattle Seahawks are hiring Brennan Carroll, the son of head coach Pete Carroll, reports Bruce Feldman of Fox Sports.

Carroll has spent the last four seasons with the Miami Hurricanes, both as a tight end coach (2011-12) and wide receiver coach (2013-14) and as the team's recruiting coordinator.

According to the Sun-Sentinel, Carroll is expected to take a job as an offensive assistant with the Seahawks.

Carroll previously served as an assistant under his father while at USC from 2002 to 2009.

On Friday, SI's Thayer Evans reported that Miami defensive line coach Jethro Franklin will be hired by the Oakland Raiders. The Hurricanes also lost their director of player personnel, Matt Doherty, to Michigan on Friday.
