Report: Giants to sign CFL center Brett Jones

The New York Giants will sign Canadian Football League center Brett Jones on Tuesday. Jones, 23, spent the last two years with the Calgary Stampeders after playing college football at the University of Regina in Canada. The 6-foot-2, 318-pound center won the rookie of the year award in 2013 and was named the best offensive lineman in 2014.

The New York Giants will sign Canadian Football League center Brett Jones on Tuesday, ESPN's Dan Graziano reports.

Jones, 23, spent the last two years with the Calgary Stampeders after playing college football at the University of Regina in Canada. The 6-foot-2, 318-pound center won the rookie of the year award in 2013 and was named the best offensive lineman in 2014.

Jones won the Grey Cup with the Stampeders last season.

The Giants finished No. 10 in yards and No. 13 in points last season in offensive coordinator Ben McAdoo's first year with the team. Quarterback Eli Manning led the team to a top-10 finish in passing yards, but the team finished just No. 23 in rushing yards.

The Giants won just six games last season, missing the playoffs for the third straight year.
