The move comes one day after the Packers dropped Bostick, who became widely known for mishandling an onside kick late in Green Bay's NFC Championship Game loss to the Seattle Seahawks last month. Seattle scored a touchdown with 2:09 remaining to cut Green Bay's lead to 19-14. On the ensuing onside kick, Bostick let the football slip through his hands before the Seahawks recovered. The game later entered overtime and the Seahawks pulled out a 28-22 win to advance to the Super Bowl.
Bostick spent the last two seasons with the Packers, catching nine passes for 123 yards and two touchdowns over 24 regular-season games.
Bostick entered the league in 2012, when he joined the Packers' practice squad after going undrafted out of Division III Newberry College in South Carolina.
Vikings receiver Greg Jennings later welcomed Bostick to the team on Twitter. Like Bostick, Jennings played for the NFC North rival Packers before coming to the Vikings.
