LOS ANGELES (AP) Former Seattle Seahawks tight end Jerramy Stevens has been charged with driving under the influence of alcohol.

Los Angeles County district attorney's spokesman Ricardo Santiago says prosecutors on Monday charged Stevens with driving with a .08 percent blood-alcohol content and driving under the influence of alcohol within 10 years of a previous DUI. Both are misdemeanors.

Stevens, the husband of women's soccer star Hope Solo, is scheduled for a court appearance Thursday at the suburban Torrance courthouse.

No representative for Stevens could be found. A phone message left for a Hope A. Solo in Kirkland, Washington - where the couple lives - and a message left for her representative weren't immediately returned.

Stevens was arrested in January in Manhattan Beach while driving a U.S. women's national soccer team van.

Solo, who was with Stevens, was suspended from the national team for 30 days. Solo has since been reinstated.
