Former NFL quarterback Jim Kelly was on CBS Sports Net's We Need to Talk on Tuesday and was asked about Tom Brady and Deflategate, according to Sports Business Journal's Daniel Kaplan.

Brady was suspended four games by the NFL for his role in Deflategate after a report by attorney Ted Wells found that it was probable that Brady "was at least generally aware of... the release of air from Patriots game balls."

Kelly was asked if he believes Brady did what he's been accused of doing.

"There is no doubt," Kelly said." There’s no way that an equipment manager of the National Football League is going to do something to the football without the greatest quarterback ever to play [knowing about it]… He knows. But the thing is, if you do something like that you are going to get caught. Tom didn’t need to do it. He’s a good friend of mine. But why? He could throw a football if it was over-inflated or deflated."

NFLPA requests Roger Goodell recuse himself in Tom Brady's appeal

In an interview with the Democrat and Chronicle, Kelly said he thought Brady would be given a two-game suspension by the league after the release of the Wells report. The NFLPA has appealed the four-game suspension that Brady received.
