Texans and Redskins to hold joint practices

RICHMOND, Va. (AP) The Houston Texans and Washington Redskins will hold joint practices in Richmond from Aug. 6-8.

It will be the first time the teams have worked together during training camp. Houston worked last preseason with the Atlanta Falcons.

Richmond Mayor Dwight C. Jones called the dual workouts ''a clear benefit of our state-of-the-art training facility. Welcoming the Houston Texans to Richmond, Virginia for practice sessions with the Washington Redskins is thrilling.''

The teams do not meet in the regular season.
