The deal announced Tuesday leaves second-round defensive lineman Mario Edwards Jr. as the only unsigned player in Oakland's 10-player draft class.
Walford was selected 68th overall out of Miami. He caught 121 passes for 1,753 yards and 14 touchdowns, becoming just the seventh tight end in Hurricanes history to surpass 1,000 career receiving yards.
Walford is expected to compete for the starting job with the Raiders.
