CHARLOTTE, N.C. (AP) The Panthers have announced they will have joint training camp practices with the Miami Dolphins this summer.

The practices are scheduled for Aug. 19 and 20 at Wofford College in Spartanburg, South Carolina, in advance of the Dolphins-Panthers preseason game in Charlotte on Aug. 22.

Panthers coach Ron Rivera said in a release Thursday, ''I have a tremendous amount of respect for coach (Joe) Philbin, and we're excited to be working with the Dolphins.''

The Panthers haven't held a joint practice with another team since 2000 when they hosted the Detroit Lions.

Carolina players report to training camp on July 30 with practices beginning the following day. The team will hold 14 practices that are open to the public while at Wofford before breaking camp on Aug. 20.
