The NFL draft is long gone and free agency has wound down, but NFL rumor mill is still buzzing with teams reporting to training camp.

Team camps open up this week, so player movement between teams will continue. Teams expected to contend once again will see if their strengths have carried over from last season, while those looking to turn around losing efforts will get a chance to see what they have.

• Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson's deadline to get a deal done during before the team opens training camp was set to expire on Friday, but Wilson signed a 4-year, $87.6 million contract extension, The MMQB's Peter King reported on Friday. Wilson confirmed the signing. 

Seattle Seahawks safety Kam Chancellor will not report to training camp on Friday and will hold out in hopes of a new deal, reports ESPN's Adam Schefter.

• The New York Giants signed veteran wide receiver James Jones to a one-year deal, reports CSNBay Area.

• New York Jets defensive end Sheldon Richardsonwas charged with resisting arrest after a July 14 incident following a high-speed case. Richardson is already suspended for the first four games of this seson for violating the NFL's substance-abuse policy.

• Jacksonville Jaguars defensive end Chris Clemons reported to the team's training camp Friday after missing the first day because of a "personal issue."

• Chicago Bears tight end Martellus Bennettreported for the start of Bears training camp after sitting out of the organized team activities and minicamp in the offseason.

• Dallas Cowboys running back Darren McFadden will start training camp on the physically unable to perform list with a hamstring injury.

• Tennessee Titans head coach Ken Whisenhunt says that rookie quarterback Marcus Mariota is the team’s starter and that the competition at the position will be to see who will backup Mariota.

• Green Bay Packersplaced 2015 second-round pick cornerback Quinten Rollins on the active/non-football injury list.
