The Seattle Seahawks have acquired safety Kelcie McCray from the Kansas City Chiefs for a fifth-round pick, reports ESPN’s Adam Schefter.

The Seahawks were in the market for safety help due to KamChencellor’sholdout, which has been ongoing since July.

McCray, an undrafted free agent out of Arkansas State, spent time with the Dolphins and Buccaneers in 2013 before a season with the Chiefs.

The 26-year-old played in all 16 games last year, recording 11 total tackles.

Seattle opens the 2015 season against the St. Louis Rams on Sept. 13.
