An incident reportedly involving Saints defensive end Cameron Jordan is currently being investigated by the New Orleans Police Department, a NOPD spokesman confirmed to ESPN's Mike Triplett.

The incident, which was reported to the police Sunday, occurred between Jordan and a couple in a New Orleans night club.

Charges have yet to be filed, and arrests have not been made.

Saints coach Sean Payton commented on the situation on Wednesday.

“The bottom line is, We're gathering the information,” Payton said. “We are aware of it and I'm anxious to find out more. ... I think I know Cam pretty well, but I also know at this time that I don't know all the details.”

Jordan, a 2013 Pro Bowl selection, has 120 tackles, 29 sacks and 16 pass deflections in four seasons with the Saints.

The Saints selected Jordan in the first round of the 2011 draft.
