The Carolina Panthers begin their regular season with a trip Jacksonville, Fla., to take on the Jaguars.

Panthers defensive end Charles Johnson missed the entire preseason due to neck and calf injuries. Defensive tackle Star Lotulelei also missed preseason play due to his surgically repaired right foot.

The Jaguars finished last season with a record of 3–13. Second-year quarterback Blake Bortles, who threw no interceptions during preseason, will be starting for Jacksonville.
