The Baltimore Ravens have signed linebacker Jason Babin to a one-year deal, reports ESPN's Adam Schefter.

Babin, 35, fills a need for the Ravens after the team lost franchise sacks leader Terrell Suggs to a season-ending Achilles tear. He spent last season with the Jets, where he made 25 tackles and two sacks in 16 games. He was one of New York's final roster cuts and will reportedly join Baltimore on a one-year veteran's minimum contract.

In 12 seasons with the Texans, Chiefs, Seahawks, Eagles, Titans, Jaguars and Jets, Babin has recorded 372 combined tackles and 64.5 sacks. His best season came with Philadelphia in 2011, when he registered 18 sacks.

Baltimore will continue to feature Elvis Dumervil and Courtney Upshaw at outside linebacker in their 3–4 scheme, and also list fourth-round selection Za'Darius Smith on the depth chart.
