The Carolina Panthers (2–0), who are off to the franchise's best start in 12 years, will host the New Orleans Saints (0–2) at Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte, N.C., on Sunday.
In Week 2 against the Texans, quarterback Cam Newton threw for two touchdowns and ran for another score in the 24–17 win.
The struggling Saints lost to the Buccaneers in Week 2 and lost quarterback Drew Brees in the process. Brees took a hit to his throwing shoulder in the second quarter of the eventual loss, and sustained a bruised rotator cuff. He will be out against the Panthers on Sunday.
New Orleans will attempt to avoid its first 0–3 start since 2012, when it began the season with four straight defeats.
