GAINESVILLE, Fla. (AP) Even though Tim Tebow has ''come to terms'' with being out of the NFL again, he's keeping an eye on what's happening around the league.
And quarterbacks getting injured almost every week.
Jay Cutler (Chicago) Drew Brees (New Orleans) and Tony Romo (Dallas) will miss starts this weekend. Josh McCown (Cleveland) already sat out a game, and Houston swapped starting quarterbacks after just one game.
''Obviously, you come to terms because I believe there's a plan for everything,'' Tebow said Friday in Gainesville. ''You can't believe that God has a plan for you in your life and it's a perfect plan and have doubt at the same time. They just don't go together.''
So Tebow is waiting for, maybe even expecting, that next phone call.
''I've said this a few times: I don't know what the future holds, but I do trust who holds my future,'' he said.
The Philadelphia Eagles, off to a 0-2 start with Sam Bradford at quarterback, released Tebow in final roster cuts this month. Tebow says he has watched both Eagles games this season as well ''a lot of football games.''
Tebow had seemingly won the No. 3 quarterback job when Philadelphia traded Matt Barkley to Arizona right before final cuts. But Eagles coach Chip Kelly cut Tebow following his best preseason performance at the New York Jets and later claimed third-team quarterback Stephen Morris off waivers from Jacksonville.
The 2007 Heisman Trophy winner was back in Gainesville on Friday for ''SEC Nation,'' the SEC Network's traveling pre-game show. The Gators host Tennessee on Saturday.
