The Broncos plan to hold LB DeMarcus Ware out of the lineup for their game against the Browns this Sunday.

The Denver Broncos will hold LB DeMarcus Ware out of the lineup for the team's Week 6 game against the Cleveland Browns, reports ESPN's Ed Werder.

Ware was carted off the field in the first quarter of Sunday's victory over the Oakland Raiders. The injury was originally diagnosed as back spasms, and he was ruled as questionable to return, but he remained sidelined for the rest of the game.

The Broncos have a bye week following this Sunday's game in Cleveland, so Ware will have an extra week to rest. He will be re-evaluated before the Broncos’ Week 8 against the Green Bay Packers.

Ware has 4.5 sacks this season, tied for the second-best mark in the NFL.
