Seahawks' Michael Bennett fined $20,000 for Matt Cassel roughing

Seattle Seahawks defensive end Michael Bennett was fined $20,000 for a hit on Cowboys quarterback Matt Cassel in Sunday’s 13–12 victory over Dallas, the NFL announced.

The roughing came with less than a minute remaining in the first half.

Bennett has now been fined four times on the season. He was charged $20,000 for a hit on Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Andy Dalton on Oct. 11 and $17,363 for a preseason hit on Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Alex Smith. Bennett’s total for hits on quarterbacks is now at $57,363.

He was also fined $8,681 for a fight in the Week 2 game against the Green Bay Packers.

Cowboys safety Jeff Heath was not fined NFL for his hit on Seahawks wide receiver Ricardo Lockette, who will miss the remainder of the season with a neck injury.
