Free agent running back Joseph Randle has been suspended four games for violating the NFL’s personal conduct policy, the league announced Tuesday.

Randle’s suspension stems from an incident in February, in which Randle was arrested on a drug charge after the mother of his child called the police. Randle was released by the Dallas Cowboys earlier this month.

Randle recorded 76 carries for 315 yards and four touchdowns in six games for the Cowboys this season. He didn’t play after Oct. 25 due to an oblique strain.

Randle did not face any legal penalties for the February incident. However, the NFL can still suspend players under the personal conduct policy even if they are not convicted of a crime.
