San Diego Chargers wide receiver Malcom Floyd sustained a torn labrum in Monday’s loss to the Bears, according to Michael Gehlken of the San Diego Union-Tribune.

Floyd sustained the injury early in the second quarter while attempting to catch a pass from quarterback Philip Rivers, and was initially said to be questionable to return. It was later announced that he would not return to the field, and he was seen in street clothes at the start of the second half.

It is not yet known how long Floyd will miss, or if the injury will end his career. He has said he plans to retire after the season.

The remaining San Diego receivers include Stevie Johnson, Dontrelle Inman and Javontee Herndon. Top receiver Keenan Allen was lost for the season when he sustained a lacerated kidney on Nov. 1.

Cornerback Jason Verrett was also sidelined by an injury on Monday Night Football. After returning an interception for a touchdown, Verrett sustained a groin injury and left the game. Fellow cornerback Patrick Robinson sustained a neck injury and was also sidelined. He was later ruled out for the remainder of the game.
