STREAKS, STATS AND NOTES - Last time these teams faced each other, in 2012 season opener, was Redskins QB Robert Griffin III's sensational NFL debut (320 yards passing, 2 TDs) on his way to Offensive Rookie of Year honors. Now he's third-stringer who's only suited up for one game all season. ... In past two games, Saints QB Drew Brees threw for 892 yards, 10 TDs, only second player to reach those numbers in two-game span. ... Brees averaging 345.4 yards passing per game, No. 1 in NFL and more than 100 yards per game more than Redskins QB Kirk Cousins. ... Brees on pace for record fifth 5,000-yard season. ... Saints RB Mark Ingram averages 100 yards from scrimmage per game; on pace to top 1,000 yards rushing. ... RB C.J. Spiller was on the field for only six plays last Sunday. ... DE Cameron Jordan has five sacks in past four games. ... Redskins have won last three at home. In those games, Cousins has thrown for five TDs, zero INTs with 110.9 rating, run for two TDs. ... Redskins haven't given up more than 300 yards passing in game this season. ... TE Jordan Reed has three TD catches in past two games. ... RB Alfred Morris is averaging only 1.43 yards before contact and only 1.85 yards after contact per carry this season, both career lows by far. ... Redskins LB Ryan Kerrigan playing with broken bone in right hand. ... Fantasy Tip: Can't ever go wrong using Brees, if you have him, but key is to figure out which receiver is going to be favorite target. Could be WR Willie Snead (team-high 626 yards receiving) this week. Redskins WR DeSean Jackson had only three catches for 15 yards last week in second appearance of season, but he should find more space against Saints secondary.
