Chicago Bears defensive tackle Ego Ferguson has been suspended four games for violating the NFL’s performance enhancing drug policy.

Chicago Bears defensive tackle Ego Ferguson has been suspended four games for violating the NFL’s performance enhancing drug policy, the team announced on Thursday. 

Ferguson is already out for the season after suffering a paterllar tendon injury in his knee. The Bears placed Ferguson on the injured reserve list on Oct. 17.

According to the Chicago Tribune, the suspensions will essentially result in Ferguson losing $142,815 in salary.

The Bears took Ferguson in the second round of the 2014 NFL Draft out of LSU. He played in 16 games in 2014, recording 12 tackles and two sacks.
