Peyton Manning’s former coach Tony Dungy said Sunday night that he would not have Manning start next week against the Bears

Manning was pulled in favor of Brock Osweiler against the Chiefs on Sunday after completing just five of his 20 passes and throwing four interceptions. Denver head coach Gary Kubiak conceded after the game that he should not have let Manning start the game due to foot and rib injuries

Dungy, now an NBC analyst, said on Football Night in America that it was “painful” to watch Manning struggle.

“I would not start him [next week],” Dungy continued. “No, not off of this performance that I saw. This is not the Peyton Manning we're used to seeing.”

Kubiak said that Manning will remain Denver’s starter as long as he is healthy.
