The New Orleans Saints (4–6) play at home against the Houston Texans (5–5) on Sunday.
The Saints had a bye week to regroup from an embarrassing 47–14 loss to the Washington Redskins on Nov. 15. The Saints defense continued its awful season, giving up 324 yards and four touchdowns to Redskins quarterback Kirk Cousins. Saints quarterback Drew Brees finished 19 of 28 with 209 yards, two touchdowns and two interceptions.
The Texans are on a three-game winning streak after beating the New York Jets, 24–17, last week. Quarterback T.J. Yates played well enough to orchestrate the win, finishing 16 of 34 with 229 yards and two touchdowns. Wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins was his main target, hauling in five passes for 188 yards and two touchdowns.
