Atlanta Falcons running back Devonta Freeman has been ruled out of Sunday’s game against the Minnesota Vikings with a concussion, the team announced.

Atlanta Falcons running back Devonta Freeman has been ruled out of Sunday’s game against the Minnesota Vikings with a concussion, the team announced.

Freeman sustained the injury in the first quarter of last week’s loss to the Colts and did not return. He did not practice this week.

22-year-old rookie Tevin Coleman will get the start in his place. He’s rushed for an average of 3.9 yards per carry in eight games this season.

Freeman has rushed for an NFL-best nine touchdowns with 764 yards.
