NEW YORK (AP) Darrelle Revis could be getting closer to a return.

The New York Jets cornerback is still in the NFL's concussion protocol, but coach Todd Bowles says Revis is ''feeling a lot better'' after missing his second straight game.

''He comes in, he does light workouts,'' Bowles said Monday. ''He's still working his way back.''

Revis was hurt at Houston on Nov. 22 and hasn't practiced or played since. He attended meetings last Friday for the first time since being injured, and was at the Jets' 23-20 overtime victory over the Giants on Sunday.

''It was encouraging that he was able to attend the game and that he's moving around a little better,'' Bowles said. ''We'll see how he feels later in the week.''

Buster Skrine started in Revis' place against the Giants after backup Marcus Williams was also scratched with a sprained knee. Williams will be evaluated later in the week.

Defensive end Mike Catapano has a possible Lisfranc foot injury that could sideline him the rest of the season. A Lisfranc injury involves the small bones or ligaments in the middle of the foot.

''This will probably be a couple weeks,'' Bowles said. ''I don't know whether we'll shut him down or not.''

Catapano, promoted from the practice squad last month, had a sack in the second quarter against the Giants before being carted from the sideline a few minutes later.

Wide receiver Jeremy Kerley left the game with a migraine, but Bowles anticipated that he'd feel better as the week goes on.

NOTES: Bowles on the Jets' eight penalties, including three on one fourth-quarter drive by the Giants: ''We have to clean them up. A lot of them were hot-head penalties that we know we can't have. Going forward, if we want to win ballgames and be consistent, we can't have those types of penalties. It's been a while since they've flared up, but they flared up yesterday.'' ... NT Damon Harrison on the postgame excitement of the Jets' win: ''It was a moment I'll never forget.''
