The Carolina Panthers (12–0) host the Atlanta Falcons (6–6) at Bank of America Stadium on Sunday.

The Panthers retained their status as the only undefeated team in the NFL with a 41–38 win over the New Orleans Saints last Sunday. Quarterback Cam Newton continued his bid for the MVP award, completing 28 of 41 passes for 331 yards and five touchdowns. He also added 49 yards on the ground. Running back Jonathan Stewart finished the game with 82 yards and a touchdown on 21 carries.

The Falcons are coming off a fifth-straight loss after falling to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, 23–19, last week. Quarterback Matt Ryan completed 30 of 45 passes, but managed to put up only 269 yards and a touchdown along with an interception. The Atlanta running game struggled, tallying 64 yards on 18 carries. Running back Devonta Freeman missed the 100-yard mark for the fourth consecutive game, rushing for 47 yards on 14 carries.
