Browns TE Gary Barnidge signs contract extension
Cleveland Browns tight end Gary Barnidge has signed a contract extension, he announced on Twitter on Thursday.
NFL.com’s Ian Rapoport reports the deal is for three years and upward of $12 million. The news comes as Barnidge, 30, is in the midst of a breakout campaign.
Barnidge has 60 catches for 817 yards and is averaging 13.6 yards per catch this season, all of which rank third among NFL tight ends. Barnidge had never before totaled more than 13 catches or 250 yards in a season. He has also caught seven touchdowns.
