New England Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski is active for Sunday night’s game against the Texans, the team announced

Gronkowski will play in the game after missing one game with a knee injury, according to multiple reports.

Gronkowski was ruled out of last week’s game against the Philadelphia Eagles with a knee injury sustained in the fourth quarter of the Patriots’ overtime loss to the Broncos on Nov. 29. The team said Gronkowski was “week-to-week” with a bone bruise and right knee sprain. The tight end participated in Thursday’s practice and wore a brace on his knee.

Gronkowski, who has caught 57 passes for 931 yards and nine touchdowns this season, tore the ACL and MCL in his right knee in Dec. 2013. He also missed significant time earlier in his career with a forearm injury and has a history of back problems.

Thought Gronkowski will play, wide receiver Julian Edelman will miss another game due to a foot injury. Tight end Scott Chandler and receiver Danny Amendola are also listed as questionable.
