The Seattle Seahawks have signed running back Christine Michael to their 53-man roster, the team announced.

Michael had 51 yards in five games for the Cowboys before being released last month.

Seattle re-signed Bryce Brown on Tuesday after Thomas Rawls went down with a season-ending ankle injury. The team is still without Marshawn Lynch, who is recovering from abdominal surgery.

Michael was selected by the Seahawks in the second round of the 2012 NFL draft before being traded to the Cowboys before the season. He played 14 games and rushed 52 times for 254 yards as Lynch's backup for two seasons.

The Seahawks are 8–5 on the year and sit in second place in the NFC West division. They will take on the Cleveland Browns on Sunday.
