Cam Newton took a big hit from the New York Giants on Sunday.

Could the Carolina Panthers be looking to rest Cam Newton soon?

The team may consider sitting their star quarterback as the season winds down, especially if he takes more hits like the one he did against the Giants on Sunday. 

As Newton dropped back to pass in the second quarter, he took a shot from a defender to his upper body. Newton gingerly walked off the field holding on to his chest after the collision. At 14–0, the Panthers are chasing an undefeated season and have already clinched first-place in the NFC.
