Both of the Eagles’ starting cornerbacks exited with injuries in the first half of Sunday’s game against the Cardinals.

Eric Rowe was diagnosed with a concussion and ruled out for the rest of the game, while Byron Maxwell was sent for X-rays on his shoulder is questionable to return. Safety Walter Thurmond shifted to cornerback due to the injuries. 

Maxwell, formerly of the Seahawks, is in the first year of a six-year, $63 million contract, while Rowe is a rookie second-round pick out of Utah.

The Eagles allowed 298 yards of total offense in the first half—158 through the air and 140 on the ground. E.J. Biggers, one of the reserves pressed into action due to injury, was the victim of a brutal stiff arm on David Johnson’s 47-yard touchdown run.
