Bob Babich will not return as Jaguars defensive coordinator
Tuesday January 5th, 2016

The Jacksonville Jaguars have fired defensive coordinator Bob Babich, the team announced Tuesday.

The decision comes after general manager Dave Caldwell said during a press conference Tuesday that changes were going to be made to the team’s defensive coaching staff.

Jacksonville’s defense ranked 31st in the league this season, allowing an average of 28 points per game and giving up the second-most points in franchise history.

Babich joined Jacksonville’s coaching staff in Jan. 2013. He previously coached for the St. Louis Rams and Chicago Bears.
