Peterson sustained the injury during Minnesota’s 20–13 win over the Green Bay Packers on Sunday. He left during the third quarter to be evaluated by trainers, but returned in the fourth quarter. After the game, he said he would be ready to play in the NFC wild-card game against the Seattle Seahawks on Sunday.

Peterson finished the regular season with 1,485 rushing yards on 327 carries for 11 touchdowns, leading the league in all three categories.
