San Diego Chargers general manager Tom Telesco announced Friday that head coach Mike McCoy’s contract has been extended through 2017.
The one-year extension comes after the Chargers finished a disappointing season with a record of 4–12. The Chargers dismissed six of their assistant coaches following the end of the season.
McCoy was named San Diego’s head coach in January 2013. In three seasons with the Chargers, McCoy has a record of 22–26.
